Here's a nice idea that I'm certainly planning to support. On Sunday April 7th, fans of Betis (olé!) and Sevilla (boo!) are invited to take part in a 5km run between the Estadio Sáchez Pizjuán (b...etc) and the Benito Villamarín. Under the banner "Derbi De Las Aficiones" (fans' derby), the race is being held the week before the city's two teams meet for real and I think the idea is that an overall winner will be declared on the basis of average times, or something like that. Certainly the publicity information says that "It's very important that runners start under the arch bearing their team's colours."
Apparently a similar event has already been held in Madrid, but I can't help thinking the Seville version should be a lot more fun. Anyone else fancy joining me for this? It costs €10 to sign up, the race starts at 10am and move info can be found (in Spanish) here.

I would love to participate, but sadly my trip for the derby with my wife has been cancelled by work scheduling issues.

Really sorry to hear that, Bill - hope you can make it over some other time.
