By the way, hola, too, to all the West Bromwich Albion fans tuning in to find out what we think of their likely new boss, one Pepe Mel, formerly of this parish. As you'll probably have discovered already, we're basically envious. You'll go a long way to find a more decent, charismatic, honest, articulate man in football - and while I know none of that guarantees winning football, it's at least a start. He was at both of his last two clubs in Spain for more than three years - unusual in itself - and both times his sacking provoked widespread protests from fans (raise that "unusual" to "unprecedented"). Betis and West Brom have plenty in common, being local clubs with a passionate, idiosyncratic fanbase, and it seems a good match to me, although it's obviously hard to know how he'll cope with the different football culture. Either way, we'll be wishing him all the best if he eventually does land the job.
